About Walt and Aimee

Hi we are Walt and Aimee and very often Milo, our beloved Cockapoo will be with us. We LOVE being on the water and couldn't be more thrilled to be embarking on our Great Loop adventure on our 25th wedding anniversary year - what a way to celebrate. 

Walt as an accomplished sailor and racer introduced me to sailing when we started dating in San Francisco in the '90s. During those early years we sailed along the California coast, Mexico, the Caribbean and the South Pacific. Moving to Vermont to start our family, our now grown children were raised sailing Lake Champlain in the summer and warm sailing vacations to the BVIs and the Bahamas. 

Walt still races with his buddies on their J105 ROGUE and is the recent past commodore at the Lake Champlain Yacht Club in Shelburne, Vermont, our main hailing port. The Great Loop has been a dream of Walt's for years and now we are doing it!

I love to travel, cook, entertain and Walt will tell you I love to meet new people. The Loop is the perfect adventure for me. 

Our Loop path is counter clockwise, starting from Vermont we are voyaging North to Canada and so the adventure begins!
