Leg 7 - The Hudson

 5/31/24 - 6/1/24

64 Miles

Once we left New York City we knew our days were numbered and sadly our trip would soon be coming to end. With this we slowed it down significantly. The Hudson is a beautiful waterway, especially early in the season mid week.

We had the waterway all to ourselves

Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge entrance. An elevator takes you to the top. Once a railroad bridge, now a fabulous elevated pedestrian walkway.

From the top, Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge
212 ft high and over 1 mile long. Its a great way to see the Hudson from a different perspective.
