Leg 6 - Oxford, Maryland
5/1/24 - 5/2/24
One adorable town after another on the Chesapeake....Oxford, Maryland.
On recommendation from the same friend who suggested Solomons Island he strongly encouraged Oxford as a must see while cruising the area. Tree lined streets, winding shoreline and classic America Main Street visiting was a walk back in time. With the slower pace and friendly smiles from everyone it is the type of place you could easily find yourself dreaming of escaping to. A waterfront town and former colonial port, Oxford is one of the oldest towns in Maryland dating back to 1668. We stayed at the Safe Harbor Oxford, another fantastic marina with excellent amenities including marina bikes - our favorite! We especially loved the Bath House, Laundry and comfortable Captains Lounge. While visiting the weather was perfect.
