Leg 4 - Miami

 3/30/24

34 Miles

We ran up to Miami to wait for a weather window to cross to the Bahamas. After the quiet of The Keys, Miami is a dramatic change. Thankfully we have boated in Miami a few times so we weren't too surprised, although I don't know if we will ever get use to the water traffic - tankers, water taxis, mega-yachts, sailboats, jet skis - and probably more! We like Miami Beach Marina, its easy in/out for us to cross to the Bahamas and we love the South Pointe neighborhood.

Bustling water port.
We love the walking promenade around the marina.
Love love love 4D Gelateria !
One of the main reasons we stay at Miami Beach Marina is so we can eat and shop at Prima Classe Italian Market and Cafe. A tiny shop in the South Pointe neighborhood, we always shop and eat as many meals as we can here. Its tiny, family owned - the food is amazing, with a large grocery section of imported Italian food.
Nicoise Salad with imported Italian tuna packed in olive oil. We had to buy a jar for the boat!
THE BEST Eggplant Parmesan!
Prima Classe roasts the eggplant then layers it in between smoked parmesan. Perfecto!
Saturday night in Miami Baby!

Up next The Bahamas

3900 Miles to date since August 1.

All our best from the vessel COAST, Captain Walt and first mate Aimee.
